Vitamin B, vitamin C, folic acid, vitamin D and the list goes on. You might be thinking what is all this about? Well, these are few important vitamins and nutrients a woman must take for optimum health. You must have seen in so many advertisements or articles, why these vitamins are important and why they are needed. Unfortunately some women close their eyes when they buy multivitamins or food. In addition, to add to this food today lacks nutritional quality and many people are not getting the required vitamins they need, especially women.

Why we are focusing more on ‘women’ is that they have a different requirement than men. Women have a specific vitamin requirements and specific nutritional needs, as their body tends to change (like when they become pregnant) usually. Some vitamins and chemicals are not produced by our body and we need them to perform certain functions that are vital for our body. In women, these vitamins and chemicals keep our bones strong, aid in the fetal development and much more.

With so many vitamins on the list, which one do you think is the most important? Well, in fact, almost all of them are important but they should be taken according to your body’s requirements. You can have those from the food you have or a multi vitamin supplement that is recommended by your doctor. Vitamin supplements can provide women with the nutritional gap that the diet fails to offer. As mentioned above, most food today lacks nutritional quality, it is best to consume a complete multi vitamin if you want to have a healthy body.

Remember, the intake of multi vitamins must be taken according to your body’s requirements. A pregnant woman may require different amounts of different vitamins, so it would be best is to consult your doctor before you buy a multivitamin supplement.
